Worldly Lies

I want to touch base on my unpopular opinion that the world lies to us. It lies to us about money, the value of life, the power authorities have and such things as this. More specifically, the world lies to us women about how we should look, how we should raise our children, how we should make money, and most importantly how to love. It is so easy to believe the lies that the world shows us because they are SO good. They are SO believable. They roll off the tongue SO well. When we're told to be totally independent, pull our own weight, raise our children alone, march, kick, scream, fight, etc. It is so appealing. Who wouldn't want to represent themselves in this world  and show others what they're made of? The lies are SO good.

But here's the truth: You cannot do this alone.

You were not made to do this alone. And you cannot. Here's the deal... you are powerful and you are fearlessly and wonderfully made, yes. But you are not these things by yourself. You are your best self when you are taking advantage of the resources God blessed you with. This means your parents, your children, your friends, your coworkers, EVEN your husband/boyfriend. I know bringing up the idea of leaning and relying on a man makes us cringe these days but that's just what comes with the worldly voice in your head. Am I telling you to kick your dignity to the curb and cling to your hubby? Absolutely not. I am planting the idea in front of you that if you were lead to him by God you are meant to be a team. You are one. And two halves of one do their own part and work together to accomplish something.

Drifting from the thought of marriage as I am very unqualified to give advice on it... this equation of two halves of one applies to anyone or anything in our lives. Why are we so quick to label men as the prideful ones, when we are just as prideful ourselves? We don't let people into our hearts anymore. We are told not to.  We are told to take care of ourselves first. And since we are so unfixable we just simply don't have the time to care for someone else. In the world today it is you and your own over others. And that is so corrupted. We were thought of before so why don't we think of others over ourselves in return? Jesus thought of you when He rose from the grave. He thought of you and all the extra that comes with you, but He still chose the cross. We were called to be LIKE Jesus not BE Jesus. I'm sorry but you cannot raise from the grave. Whatever your story may be, however messy it  may be, you will never be Jesus. But you can be light. If you cannot be the truth in the world, tell the truth. Show the world what the truth is. However it has to be done, do it. If women have accomplished all of what they have so far... we can figure this one out as well. ♡
